NIKE MOTIVA
AN ART-CENTRIC NYC EVENT THAT WALKED THE WALK
The Nike Women’s team approached us to design and produce a single day event for the release of a new colorway for the Motiva, their pillowy, soft-soled walking shoe. The event was held at the new incarnation of Frenchette Bakery, located within NYC’s famed Whitney Museum. Guests arrived in three waves and were greeted with their own pair of Motivas. They had an opportunity for a photo moment with the iconic wavy Ultrafragola mirror, and were given a curated selection of bakery goodies to snack on. We created an art forward design system based on a set of custom illustrations of pastries and shoes, along with the Motiva tagline “For All Walks.” The event was a success by all metrics, and was punctuated by a guided meditation and a peaceful group walk on the Hudson River waterfront.
